carwreck.com: around Boston harbor...

question

Here's the question: Do I subject myself to an all-night drive after I get off work on Friday night at about 10pm? With proper alignment of the cosmos, I would arrive in Wellsboro, PA just in time to begin working at the Susquehannock Trail ProRally at about 8am. I was invited to work as service crew for some friends but I declined thinking that I would not be able to go. But now it looks slightly possible to pull off. The drive would be about 8 hours.

That was almost me...just ask James on the proper all-night drive procedures. I have elected instead to spend the weekend helping prep the 1983 Saab 99 of RallyHo motorsports for an attack on Maine.

After a Banzai run from Rally NY to Maryland last fall, I can tell you 4-6 am behind the wheel SUCKS when you don't have any tunes and your body no longer reacts to caffeine.

Ah, it will be nice to see that car rallying again. It looks like I'm going to take the plunge and head to STPR after work tomorrow (today?). Wish me luck and alertness (do they make devices to keep your eyelids open?).

luck and alertness!! =)

Again, ask James about eyelid opening devices. >} Or at the very least, pound lots of coffee and make sure you've got plenty of loud music as it's a long boring drive at anything less than twice the speed limit!
