The "nod" is not something to which only people who organize events are privy. I have discovered that simple partygoers can also exchange a knowing nod with other people who are enjoying their surroundings. Maybe I should call this nod something else so as to differentiate if from “the” nod of which is referred to in Groove.

Any suggestions?
